I moved into a rented house in Mexico. I was delighted to have a washer/dryer in my home after so many years of living in big city (small) apartment complexes with shared laundry rooms. But, the first time I went to do a wash, I noticed the washer had horrible mold problems on that rubber(?) surround. I learned a while ago that these front-loading washers need to have their doors left open for a while after use, so that the moisture has a chance to evaporate… or else mold forms. This product works as indicated. I used some on a cloth rag or paper towels. I left a layer on the surface for a little while and then went back after ten minutes or so to wipe it clean. I have not yet seen a reoccurrence of the mold, but I do leave the door open, unlike the previous resident.I have the largest LG Front Load Washer that you can buy, so you can imagine how many loads of laundry have gone through it in the past 7 years. Like many other reviewers, mine was covered with disgusting black mold and mildew all over. I’ve tried everything you can possibly think of to get rid of the disgusting, smelly mold and mildew that plagues front load washer gaskets, along with endless products, without any success. I thought I’d try one more product, and I still can’t believe it! ALL of the mold and mildew is gone!! I applied the product heavily as directed with latex gloves, spread it out with my finger, left it on for 24 hours, and then wiped it off with paper towels and ran a clean cycle. It’s gone with literally no scrubbing on my part! If you’re not sure whether this product will work, it does! Finally a product that does what it says it will do! How refreshing!!A friend recommended this product for the washing machine rubber rim cleaning. It takes 3 to 4 times of cleaning to removed the dirty stains on the rubber and rim of the washing machine. Must apply the gel to the stained area and let it sit for a few hours, then wipe it off with paper towels. then apply the gel again and repeat a few times until it meets your desired conditions. Overall it works, but does takes a few cleaning.I will admit I was skeptical about this getting rid of the mildew and mold I have battled in my washer. I was ready to trash my front loader and actually went to a local store to pick out a new laundry set. Surprisingly, the owner told me to order this and try this first rather than buy new machine. Couldn't believe she was willing to give up a sale but that is what you get from a family owned local firm! She told me to order this from Amazon and give it a try first. It worked great!This product removed the black mold and the black stains on the washing machine rubber strips.Very easy to apply as its a gel and does not drip. As instructed I left it for about five hours and wiped it off. No stains! Amazing! I will definitely reorder.This is one of the best products I have used. The rubber part of my washer was filled with mold and mildew. I tried pretty much everything on it, baking soda + vinegar, lemon + salt, and other products but this did the trick. I had to apply it thrice due to the vast amount of mold and each time I left it for at least 6 hours. By the third time, it looks new and clean. The applicator was not very easy to use for me but I used gloves and applied it by hand. It was easy to clean with a wet rag or wet tissue.This was the only thing that worked! My front load washer had some large black spots in it from sitting water (and the kids not cleaning it properly when they did their laundry). I tried bleach, and many other spray cleaners with no results so I decided to try this. I was amazed when I wiped it off most of the black came with it. My stains were very bad and not all of them came off, but I am hopeful a second treatment will get the rest.I may try the caulk in my shower corner next.Just get it already! I used this in the rubber part of my washer with mold that is so hard to remove. I tried everything to take it off like put bleach in a paper towel to soak it but it didn’t work. I tried other products too but I won’t mention the brand but still it didn’t work. I tried this and left it for 1 hr and it was gone! Like no trace of mold.
