Reasons I picked this versus some with slightly higher ratings:- The important parts are replaceable. You can get a new battery pack, new roller brush, new filter. This means if there's an issue with one of these key pieces, you don't have to throw the whole thing away. Smart, and more eco-friendly too.- The battery can charge whether attached or detached from the vac. (And I liked the option to have a second battery because one can be charged while the other's being used.) Also smart.- The design for emptying the dirt cup is so very smart. Hold it over the garbage can and push the button. There's almost zero chance of spilling dust and grit somewhere you don't want it.- I admit the color is cool.Additional things I didn't realize I'd like about it:- Enough attachments to do about anything. The two-in-one with the brush that slides back and forth? That's neat. The thing that mounts everything (except the cleaning tool) on the wall too.- The attachments can go on the long telescoping tube, or directly on the main motor unit, which is great for the car or other hand vac uses. Another smart design idea.- BRIGHT lights on the front.- It's not scratching my newly refinished hardwood floors.- Battery life is good. I can pretty much hit all the floors in my 2500-square foot house, plus or minus a couple of low-pile rugs.That's the good stuff. There are a couple of annoying things.- Power is only adequate. Fine for bare hard floors, but it will accomplish only the lightest of touch-ups on my area rugs, which aren't super high pile, they're standard Persian rugs. It struggles with my dog's hair on upholstery (figure 1: dog and upholstery). The high setting doesn't seem to do better. I should have spent more to get more power, but, in my defense, I didn't realize I'd want to use this thing for everything all the time.- Speaking of dog hair, it tends to cling to the soft felt strip on the bottom of the electric floor head (the main head), so I have to flip it over and sort of wipe the hair off with my fingers a couple of times per room.- The floor head grabs dust and fine dirt, but it's so low to the ground that it pushes larger crumbs around instead of sucking it up. It's just a slight inconvenience to lift up in order to get bigger debris. Try not to spill any rice.All in all a solid four stars, and the fifth star only fell off because it's not as good on pet hair and upholstery as it claims. If you don't have a dog and you only care about your hard flooring, then you'll probably think it's a five.Could have a little better suction power but not a bad value for the price!! I definitely prefer my Dyson that I have at my offfice over this any day even on area rugs! This vacuum isn’t meant for anything other than tile, vinyl or hardwoodI love this vacuum.I have a cat whos fur is constantly everywhere.This vacuum picks up everything.The extra attachments make it sooooo easy to get in the hard to reach places.Lightweight, easy to use, easy to assemble. Affordable and gets the job done.This is the best light vacuum cleanerReally great vacuum, but it does clog fairly regularlu. I do have 3 dogs, one being a pomeranian, so may clog less if you have shorter haired dogsI was skeptical at first, but this is a great product and value. It is very powerful for being so light weight. I will go from carpet to hardwood floors with no problem. So glad I purchased it!This is such a versatile vacuum. It's light and easy to use. Very good value!! Excellent customer serviceIt's not lightweight if you have mobility problems. Suction is good but becareful using on fluffy rugs and it gets stuck. My mum seems to like it but I'm the one who uses it the most cleaning her home.When this first arrived I was pleased, it's looked good and was lightweight, however this quickly turned to disappointment, the suction gradually got worst over the just over 30 days of use, despite keeping the unit clean and well maintained, the suction is really poor, even though I go over the same area several times, it won't pick up light surface bits. Wish I had opted for better quality and brand.
