Extremely difficult to insert where needed,Very tight on initial installation.I change the filter about 1time a year.I have a bagless Kenmore (116.22614) and had ordered generic filters from Amazon. Unfortunately, they didn't fit in the drawer where this filter goes. They were too thick. I'll be using these filters from now on. Had to create a temporary Filter and it created a mess. This filter looked and worked excellent.2)This filter did exactly what it promised to do and the smoothness of our Vacuum returned and certainly improved its performance.3)So, can't beat a quality product delivered ahead of time and working better than expected.I bought this Hepa media filter EF-9 to replace the original filter in our Kenmore Model 116.31140311.Reviews of the less costly filters stated they sometimes did not fit so that is why I went with this one, plus this is the one that was linked from the Sears part website. In the direction Sears is headed, next time these may not be available, so I maybe forced to purchase the less costly ones that may or may not fit correctly. This filter did fit but required a firm push to lock in place.Item is listed as Kenmore OEM filter. The OEM Kenmore filter is far superior to the generic knockoffs. It's a better fit, lasts a lot longer, and you can definitely see/smell a difference while vacuuming. If a genuine OEM Kenmore brand filter it should come in the Kenmore/box packaging. If it comes in any other type of packaging it is a knockoff. I would highly recommend only buying the name brand.A great product for a great price! Very nice to deal with.
