3 things that makes and breaks this vacuum:1) Suction power is ok IF it is set to high level.. the 2 lower settings is really pointless (-1 point)2) The metal screen pre-filter and funnel screen design is really good and keeps things out from the motor (+1 point)3) After daily use of the vacuum for only 2 months or less basically killed off the lithium-ion batteries charge range (which are a total of 7 of 3.7v 18650 batteries wired onto a circuit board to prevent basically under voltage). In other words, they were generic brands and probably a couple of the cells dropped below the 3.5volt (full charge is 4.3v while a anything under 3.6v is considered a dead cell). I haven't reverse engineer the pack yet, but basically everyone that is experiencing auto-shutoff after about 1 to 2 mins is the probably dealing with a failing battery pack? The saving grace of all of this is that Britech's customer service is pretty responsive via email so contact them directly and they will eventually send you a full replacement. (+1 point)..I'd like to see them offer a replacement battery pack (or better yet, just partner up with a larger company or redesign their vacuums to be compatible with power tool batteries like a dewalt 20v or even 60 flex volt if you REALLY WANT SOME LONG LASTING SUCTION POWER).It is truly a waste to send me a full-on replacement when really all I want is just the battery pack. I get that they are providing good customer service up front by giving me a full replacement, but for their business, it is considered bleeding and it isn't sustainable.I'm giving 3 stars for this product, only because 2 of them actually belongs to customer service.. as for the product and business model, it is worth only 1 star.Do not buy until they resolve the battery supplier and quality control and assurance on battery voltage. This is the first cordless stick vac I have owned. I think the power is fare, and it seems a little heavy. Some of the operational features are fare, ie: It always starts on low power. I'd prefer it started on the last power setting used...just my thoughts.reasonably light, decent suction. The controls take a little getting used to. Not as strong as my Dyson a home, but pulled dust and debris out of flat carpets and made the office look clean. Perfect for medium to light duty work.I like everything about it except for the fact that the suction power on a carpet isn't that great I can visibly see stuff left behindI like this for quick cleanups and hardwoods . This isn’t going to replace my regular upright vacuum. The head maneuvers on a dime so it’s easy to get to tight spots .I dont like where the on/off button is located because I inadvertently turn it off while using (all the time!)It works on rugs but it doesn’t have the suction power of an upright.I put this together last night and accidentally turned it on. I wasn’t planning to use it last night, as it was late and I live on the top floor of an apartment building. But it was so quiet that I didn’t feel that I needed to stop vacuuming. The lights at the end are also very bright and useful when getting into dark spaces. It was easy to assemble, and I think it is a great value!Mostly wanted to reduce cat hair. Great for that!I The small brush attachment could be designed with more brushes, but it does seem to get the cat hair off the furniture.I bought this vacuum to do light cleanup including picking up cat litter from the floor on a daily basis. I like that it's lightweight and cordless. However, I have found some major problems with the appliance. First, I have arthritis in my hands and I find it both difficult and painful to attach or remove the parts of this vacuum. The release buttons are hard for me to push, and I have actually bruised my hands on one occasion trying to remove a part. Second, the vacuum seems to be picking up cat litter and lint while it is running and I am using it, but when I turn off the power and lift the vacuum to put it away, it deposits what it has picked up on the floor. I then attempt to vacuum that pile of litter/lint and it does a very poor job and again drops it on the floor when I am finished. I have had to resort to my Miele tank vacuum to clean up after the cordless. I am frustrated and completely out of patience with trying to make this cordless vacuum work in any sort of satisfactory way. I tried to return it to Amazon, and received a message that it was too late to return it.
